How this works

Three steps, then the Rebalance Engine does the arithmetic every time you change anything.

Step one

List everyone you buy for

Give each person a priority tier. Tier 1 gets the largest share of the budget, tier 3 the smallest.

Step two

Log gifts as you go

Estimate first, then fill in the actual cost once you have bought it. Both are used.

Step three

Read the Rebalance Engine

It shows the remaining allowance per person, and who has to be cut if you go over.

Everyone you buy for

Priority tier decides how the budget is shared out. A hard cap overrides the tier share for that person — leave it blank to let the engine decide.

Estimated cost counts towards the budget as soon as you write it down. Once you enter an actual cost, the actual replaces the estimate everywhere.

Each person's allowance is their tier's share of your total budget. Overspend on anyone and this recomputes everybody, then names who has to be cut to stay inside the total.

Who you have to buy for first
